We are a team of contributors from a diverse range of backgrounds. We love what we do, we’ve learned many lessons along the way, and we’re happy to share our thoughts and experiences with you.
Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Tim is a Social Media Manager for 3M, driving best practice across 50 countries. He’s been a blogger since 2007 and boasts a 100% record of being repeatedly shortlisted for but never winning awards (currently zero-for-six). He’s also number two on Vuelio’s ranking of UK Dad Bloggers. And really bad at karaoke.
Amie Caitlin Shearer
Amie is an award-winning influencer marketing and social media strategist with a passion for accountability in the industry and diversity and representation. She’s worked for and with the likes of O2, Danone, Disney, P&G, Scottish Widows and Mumsnet. She now runs training to help brands better understand the industry and how to make the most of it, as well as one-to-one coaching for people of influence, and the odd University lecture.
Henry is a digital strategist at one of Europe’s most well-known agencies, sitting in a team of social media specialists and influencer relations experts. He has worked in the digital industry for 15+ years, having previously run an SEO agency. He is an occasional blogger and regular opinionated git. He can barely influence his own children, let alone anyone else.
Kate is half of an award-winning, two-mum, LGBTQ family, travel and lifestyle blog called Lesbemums. Her specialities include making ‘The Best Cheesy Pasta’ and helping her five-year-old build endless train tracks. When she’s not being ‘mum’, she’s passionate about inclusion and diversity. Kate has been blogging for eight years and has a track record in proving to brands the value of having more diverse people at the table. She’s direct and to the point, and makes a mean risotto.
Christian is a Customer Marketing Manager for the British Business Bank and has worked in various brand and digital marketing roles, as well as a few years agency side. He has a lot of experience in developing and implementing paid advertising campaigns across a whole host of industries and countries. A proud father to a 3½-year-old daughter, and in between the day job and parenting duties you’ll find him pounding the streets – a keen runner.
Jamie is fiancé to Tom and father of two handsome boys, Lyall (11) and Richard (10). He is the author of multi-award-winning parenting blog Daddy & Dad, where he writes about adoption, real-life parenting, travel and technology. John is a former journalist, PR and communications professional. His experiences as a stay-at-home dad inspired him to launch Dadbloguk, which he now runs as a commercial enterprise, fitting work around his family commitments. Dadbloguk won Best Dad Blog at the inaugural Online Influence Awards in 2019, and John can occasionally be found commenting on parenting issues on TV and radio.
Simon is Digital Content Editor for Hopster, a role he took up after five years as a stay-at-home dad and over a decade before as a TV producer. Blogging since 2014, his primary focus is on the problem of gendered marketing to kids (and parents), as well as inclusivity and representation in kids’ and other media.
